Thermally insulated glazing with solar control

Solar control glazing reduces excessive solar radiation into a building and therefore the build-up of heat in the interior.

Reflective solar control glass panes are coated with bonded metallic coating.

The degree of sun protection with the glass is determined by the total energy transmittance, or g value.

The total energy is made up of the solar energy that passes directly through the glass into the interior of the room, and the energy that is released to the interior by the glass.

The lower the g value, the better the sun shielding effect. The total energy transmittance of modern solar control glass is in the range of 18% to 43%, and the transmittance of heat insulating glazing is between 50% and 68%.

The TIF * Hero-Sun insulating glazing enables even better thermal insulation by a non-metallic thermoplastic spacer to form the double glazing cavity spacing. The thermal conductivity is considerably lower and thermal bridges in the area of the frame are reduced.
